Windows Live Hotmail's storage size is 500GB

According to LiveSide.net, Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail has offered 500GB for storage space. But it is unlikely, anyone needs a 500GB inbox especially with the limitation of mail attachments. Microsoft still can brag that they offered the most space.

On the bottom right of the picture, you can see it reads Max: 512000MB (500GB)

Intel's X25-M SSDs faster and cheaper

Intel introduce its new SSDs called Intel's X25-M for laptop and desktop PCs. The X25-M SSDs come in 2.5-inch or 1.8-inch sizes. The X25-M 80GB SSD is priced at US$225 for quantities up to 1,000 units, while the 160GB version is $440.



First Firefox 3.7 design glimpse

Mozilla just released Firefox version 3.5 recently and it was really amazing but Mozilla just reveal some concept design for Firefox version 3.7.

This will be a good news for Windows users since the design for Firefox be will remaking for Windows version only. Here are feature that Mozilla planned to implement:

  1. Embracing Glass: Toolbar and Tabs using Glass. Buttons translucent and slightly glossy to meld with the toolbar. Raised 3D lookachieve tactile "feel".
  2. Page Button: Connect the Page button to the left side of the tab area. Directly connected to the Page.
  3. Tools/Bookmark Bar: Connecting the Tools button to the side of the Window to emphasize the fact that it is used for customizing and changing the UI. Adding a button next to that to toggle the Bookmarks Bar which is turned off by default.

Beginning next month, Microsoft will start an upgrade to the Windows Update and Microsoft Update Service. This update will improve the user interface for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008, adding a more visible and detailed description of updates as well as improvements in how users are notified about service packs.

If Windows Update or Automatic Updates is enabled, the infrastructure update will be automatically applied. The last update for Windows Update occurred in November of 2008

Users that buy Windows 7 E required to install an internet browser from preferred storage device such as DVD, USB or an external storage device.

Meanwhile Windows 7 N does not include a internet browser and media player in order to play or create audio CDs, media files, or personal videos; organize media library content; create playlists; transfer media to portable media players; share photos on a home network; or perform other media player–related tasks.

*Windows 7 E- the version of Windows that will ship in the UK without a browser.

Serious IE ActiveX Vulnerability Discovered

Microsoft has warned for Internet Explorer (IE) vulnerability has been discovered and Microsoft still working on patch for this vulnerability. The exploit can hijack a computer remotely if the victim simply visits a compromised a web site through Microsoft's Video ActiveX Control.

The exploit can only attack users running on "Windows XP" and "Windows Server 2003". The Vulnerability affects IE6 and IE7 but not IE8.

For the mean time,  Microsoft has released a temporary work around for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

First iPhone porn application, sold out already

Hottest Girls, the first ever application with nudity was accepted into the Appstore. The application is temporarily sold out due to overload of users trying to download the application which could possibly crash the AppStore. The developer pulled the plug only hours after its release because of the extremely high server usage.

Usually when Apple pulled an application the entire page would disappear but not this time, you can still click to buy, enter your password and get a pop-up warning that the customer must be 17+ years or older to download the content.

Microsoft has officially announced starting June 26, "Windows 7 Upgrade Option" program allowing users to receive Windows 7 and PCs preinstalled with  premium version of Windows Vista will qualify for a license equivalent of Windows 7.

Under the "Windows 7 Upgrade Option" program, the following Windows Vista version will have the following Windows 7 upgrade:
  • Windows Vista Home Premium -> Windows 7 Home Premium
  • Windows Vista Business -> Windows 7 Professional
  • Windows Vista Ultimate -> Windows 7 Ultimate
Note:
  • The is no charge provided to computer manufacturers from Microsoft but manufacturers may require a payment for costs such as shipping and handling.
  • The program available through January 31, 2009.
  • There is no "Upgrade Option" for Windows Vista Home Basic.

Google just update their PageRank on June 23, 2009 less than a month from the last PageRank update. The May 2009 PageRank update took place on May 27 and May 28.
