iPod Touch as a weapon in battlefield

The United Stated military is taking Apple's iPod Touch onto the battlefield according to a report in Newsweek. The report shows that the iPod  performs many functions that can be used in networked warfare, enable soldiers to linked together and shared data across the battlefield.

A new program called Vcommunicator translates spoken and written Arabic, Kurdish as well as two Afghan languages. Another application developed for the iPdhone allows soldier to take a photo of street sign and upload it.
