Microsoft will shut down all their Encarta website and software products. Microsoft will shut down on Oct 31 and stop selling software products by June 2009. Except Encarta Japan web site, which will stay live until the end of this year.
People who have paid for a subscription to MSN Encarta Premium, which offers them access to information will get a refund for fess beyond April 30. Microsoft still offer the technical support for the software products for 3 years.
