Apple offers HD and 720p movies via iTunes store

Apple has been offering prime-time television shows on iTunes in HD format since last year. Movies and TV shows downloaded iTunes can be played on any platform including Apple product as well as Windows PC.

Apple launched an HD page on iTunes store, movies such as Transporter,The Spirit and etc is available. HD movies on iTunes will cost $19.99 to buy and $4.99 to rent. TO download HD movies, users must have iTunes 8.1.

Apple also offers H.264 movies in 720p that available for rent. HD download come with a standard definition version for mobile consumption.
