Hacking ( MAC Spoofing and IP Spoofing)

I have been learning and searching solution to hacking such as mac address spoofing and ip spoofing.It is possible to prevent this attack from inside a network or detect any hacking activity.Even with a login page to authenticate ( like wireless), hacking activity still occur.

I know that hacking is a sport for some people but what really the solution to this kind of attack in the network itself.Is there a solution for this and at the same time it does not require a lot of cost.

All I can conclude that, mac address spoofing and ip address spoofing can not be avoided.Even with firewall and other security tools, they attack still happen.
